This blog is random. I ask people weird questions, record their answers and react to them. It may not be interesting to you, but I like to know what people are thinking.
For this entry, I started by asking people, "What is your most embarrassing moment?" but after asking seven people in a row who declined to answer (must have been some pretty juicy stuff), I was forced to change my question. After pondering for a few minutes, I landed on, "What's the coolest thing you can do?"
And I came to a conclusion: Everyone is cooler than me.
Sure, I can sing and I have raw sexual magnetism (ha) but I'm not nearly as talented as the people who surround me.
People flipped their eyelids, put their legs behind their heads, and broke out into dance.
Of course there were people who claimed they weren't talented.
"I'm not a man of many talents."
"I can't do anything, leave me alone."
Well. Okay. You got it.
One guy raced motocross. One girl surfs. I had people wiggling their ears and juggling.
One guy could actually do a backflip. Not in a while though, so I was denied when I asked for a demonstration.
People are cool.
The most interesting thing is that you cat tell just by looking at people. Who knew that the guy in the back of my short stories class can do a backflip. It's important to let people show you before you draw conclusions.
Woah. Don't judge a book by its cover.
The following is a blog post from a Feature Writing class by a student who wrote all semester about Disney World through promotional virtual experiences of others. The first introductory paragraph was used on earlier posts. The second, was an intro on the final submission – after he got to experience Disney with his brother […]
Sophia Buckley-Clement is a Mid-coast Maine native and amateur “spook enthusiast” who’s been studying in Vermont for the past three years. Though Vermont may not be known for its cryptids and ghouls, this place is too damn old for there not to be some weird stories. I’ve seen a lot of long-forgotten places before. Creepy […]
Netflix is always trying to tell us what to watch. It thinks it knows us. Well this blog will put that to the test. While I was scrolling through Netflix’s endless catalog until I got down to the top 10, there were endless shows that are “98% match” for me in my suggested titles, but […]
Paint, Groove ‘n Toke is about making art, listening to good tunes and smoking some green. In this blog, we will be talking about music and its impact on our lives, all while painting on a canvas together. “Hits from the Bong” by Cypress Hill was Thomas Fabbioli’s first choice of song during Paint, Groove […]
On Aug. 27, I got a chance to go see Dead and Company, who, for those unaware, include former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart. Joining those three were John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti, and Oteil Burbridge, respectively. Taking the trip to Saratoga for a Friday night concert and camp made me […]
In this blog I’ll be diving into the depths of Apple Music playlists. I’ll find some new vibes, give one a listen, then give it a quick review. All right! Here goes nothing. Day 1. Let’s get it. The following sequence resembles my actions in finding a new genre to throw on: Give Apple Music […]
