Who’s best dressed?

The Grammy’s are not only music’s biggest night, but arguably a major fashion moment. While we can argue for hours on who should’ve won this, and who didn’t deserve that, I’m here to talk about the looks, the moments, the eye-catching gowns and suits and everything in between.

Because we’re positive in this column, we’ll be looking at the best dressed, you know, as a treat. And as a disclaimer, this list is based on my own personal opinion and what I believe to be the creme de la creme of the night.

First, we have the one and only, miss Ariana Grande. My queen, my everything—get it—and arguably one of the best dressed of the night. Homegirl had three looks, excluding her performance outfits, but I’ll only be focusing on her red carpet look, as with everyone else.

She wore a grey Giambattista Valli ball-gown with matching gloves and her signature ponytail to boot. She looked like a modern day Cinderella in the most Ariana Grande way possible. Compared to literally any other red carpet look of hers, this was the best by far. She stepped out of her comfort zone and absolutely served, and I am very well-fed.

Next is Lizzo in her surprisingly classy yet stunning Atelier Versace gown. She looked absolutely glamorous in the Swarovski studded white gown and faux fur stole. She looked so not Lizzo in the best way possible. The gown hugged her curves so well, and she looked rich, like a dessert in a five-star restaurant.

Tyler the Creator personally stole the show for me. He wore a Wes Anderson inspired bellhop ensemble from his own Golf Le Fleur line. I would expect nothing less from Tyler to be the most out-there while still being appropriate for the Grammy’s. He accessorized with a pink suitcase. That’s legend behavior.

I can’t complete this list without mentioning Billy Porter. He absolutely slays every single red carpet he’s been on, and this is no exception. Wearing a turquoise suit, complete with crystal fringed-boots and a motorized hat. A motorized hat! You know what I’m talking about. It is also important to note that Billy is a queer, person-of-color being completely himself. That is the most important part of this look.

I think that’ll do for now because I have a deadline. Honorable mentions include Lil Nas X, Jojo, Bebe Rexha, Lana Del Rey – she got her dress at the mall, hello—and BTS. Okay see you next time, byyyeeeeee.
